Welcome to SheDrives Pakistan.
This document outlines our policy regarding the handling of personal information belonging to SheDrives users.

This policy is applicable whenever you interact with SheDrives through our websites, mobile apps, products, content, or services when you reach out to us. This policy does not cover the handling of information pertaining to our employees, candidates, or business associates.
We will adhere to all relevant local regulations concerning the practices described in this policy. In cases where there is a conflict between this policy and local law, we will comply with the local law to the extent of the conflict.
Users who request or receive transportation, logistics, or courier services via SheDrives are referred to as “Passengers,” while those providing these services are referred to as “Captain.”
1. Information We Collect
We gather three types of information about you: information you provide directly, information we collect automatically, and information we receive from external sources.
We do not gather information regarding your racial or ethnic background, political views or affiliation, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data, or data concerning your personal life or sexual orientation.
2. Information You Provide
Passenger registration information may include your first name, phone number, email, country, and city. Where required or allowed by law, we may also collect your selfie image for identity verification, national ID numbers, and social media profiles for security purposes, as well as emergency contact details. Without this information, you will not be able to use SheDrives or some of its features. If you choose,you may also provide your last name and profile picture.
Captain registration information may include the driver’s full name, profile picture, license details, vehicle information (such as type, make, model, year of manufacture, registration certificate, license plate, vehicle inspection report, vehicle image), proof of identity, ID document (including Captain license, passport), proof of residency, home address, date of birth, gender, tax identifier number, relevant insurance, work eligibility, driving record, payment or banking details, and other documents as required by local regulations. Where permitted or required by law, we may also collect background checks and criminal records information. Authorized vendors may process this information on our behalf. Without this information, you will not be able to register as a Driver.
Captain registration information may include the driver’s full name, profile picture, license details, vehicle information (such as type, make, model, year of manufacture, registration certificate, license plate, vehicle inspection report, vehicle image), proof of identity, ID document (including Captain license, passport), proof of residency, home address, date of birth, gender, tax identifier number, relevant insurance, work eligibility, driving record, payment or banking details, and other documents as required by local regulations. Without this information, you will not be able to register as a Driver.
Correspondence information that you send us, which may include chat messages, emails with attachments, recordings of phone calls made to us, and related metadata.
Information for promotional activities. From time to time, we may run car branding, referral, and other promotional campaigns. If you wish to participate in these campaigns and receive bonuses, payments, or other benefits, we may request information such as your name, email, user ID, phone number, payment or banking information, home address, social media accounts, vehicle type, and image.
3.Information We Collect Automatically
Location data. We collect location data from users to facilitate rides, provide customer support, ensure security, detect fraud, and comply with legal obligations. We collect location information (including GPS coordinates and Wi-Fi data) based on your SheDrives app settings and device permissions:
Passengers: We collect your device’s precise location when the app is running in the foreground (app open and on-screen) and when the app is running in the background (app open but not on-screen) from the time you request a ride until it ends. Passengers may use the app without enabling it to collect precise location data by directly entering the pick-up and drop-off address or coordinates into the app.
Captain: We collect your device’s precise location when the app is running in the foreground (app open and on-screen) and when the app is running in the background (app open but not on-screen) in Captain mode. Additionally, to support insurance coverage, we may also collect precise location information after you exit Captain mode or when the app is closed or not in use. These additional data collections are specifically used to support insurance coverage and to detect and investigate ride incidents.
Transaction details: We collect transaction data related to the services provided via SheDrives, including the amount charged, payment transaction information, date and time the service was provided, route, and distance traveled.
Usage data: We collect data about how you use our Platform, such as access dates and times, features or pages viewed, Platform crashes, and other system activity. We may also collect and use data related to third-party services you interacted with before using SheDrives for marketing purposes.
Communication details: We enable users to communicate with each other and with us through the Platform. To facilitate this, we collect data about the time and date of communications and their content. We may use this data to provide customer support, resolve disputes between users, identify violations of SheDrives rules, ensure safety, and enhance our Platform.
Device details: We collect information about the device you use to access SheDrives, such as your device name, brand and model, user agent, IP address, mobile carrier, network type, time zone settings, language settings, advertising identifiers, browser type, operating system and its version, screen parameters, battery state, and installed applications that can be used for authentication and anti-fraud purposes. We may also collect mobile sensor data, such as speed, direction, altitude, acceleration, deceleration, and other technical data.
User and Trips IDs: We automatically assign you a user ID when you create a SheDrives account, and a trip ID for each ride.
Cookies and tracking technologies: We gather information through the use of cookies, pixels, tags, and other similar tracking technologies (“cookies”). To learn more about these technologies, please refer to our Cookie Policy.
4.Information We Obtain from Other Sources
Third-party services: We may receive information about users from our service providers, including background check and identity verification providers, insurance partners, financial services vendors, and marketing service providers. If you choose to use a third-party communication application (such as WhatsApp) or sign up using a third-party service (such as Facebook), where this feature is available, we may collect information from these services.
Government authorities: We may receive information about users from law enforcement agencies and other government bodies as required or authorized by law.
Other users or third parties: Third parties may provide us with information about you, for instance, in connection with referral programs or through customer support (such as information related to an incident or complaint, including audio, video, images, documents).
5. Your Choices
Account Information: You can update or correct your account information at any time through the SheDrives app or website.
Location Data: You can control location data sharing through your device settings, though disabling location services may affect app functionality.
Marketing Communications: You can opt-out of receiving marketing communications by following the instructions in our emails or adjusting your account settings.
6. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
To enable you to use SheDrives.
Maintain and manage your SheDrives account, request and provide services through SheDrives;
Verify Captain’ eligibility and capability to provide services via SheDrives;
Prevent and address unsafe or illegal behavior, fraud, and other violations of SheDrives rules, suspend and deactivate users involved in prohibited activities;
Provide customer support and handle user complaints;
Send non-promotional communications (such as invoices, receipts, or notifications about your ride);
Maintain the accessibility, security, and stability of our Platform, prevent and resolve incidents and technical issues.
Legal basis: : Fulfillment of our contract with you, necessity to comply with our legal obligations, and our legitimate interest in maintaining SheDrives as a secure platform.
To improve and develop features and products
Conduct testing, research, data analysis, development, and machine learning;
Collect your feedback.

Automated Decision-Making
We use personal information to make automated decisions related to your use of our Platform:
Connecting Captain and Passengers based on factors such as availability and proximity;

Flagging or temporarily suspending users involved in fraud, unsafe or harmful activities. In some cases, such activities may lead to deactivation;
Recommending an average fare based on factors such as distance, location, and time.

How We Share Your Information
With other users. We share certain information about users to facilitate the scheduling and provision of rides:
Passenger information shared with Driver includes name, profile picture (if uploaded), rating, pickup and drop-off locations, number of trips, and comments from previous Captain;
Driver information shared with Passenger includes name, profile picture (if uploaded), rating, vehicle details (license plate, make, model, color), number of trips, and comments from previous Passengers.
After completing a ride, Passengers and Captain can also see any additional information that was shared during the ride.
With service providers We share your information with vendors that perform services on our behalf, such as:
Payment processors and facilitators;
Background check and identity verification providers;
Cloud storage providers;
Marketing service providers;
Customer support services and communication platforms;
Insurance partners.
These vendors only have access to the data necessary to perform these services on our behalf and are required to protect your information. We may also share your data with third parties involved in the provision of transportation, logistics, or courier services through our Platform, such as:
Insurance, logistics, and delivery partners;
Restaurant partners;
Fleet owners.
With SheDrives group companies. We share your data with our affiliates to help us provide, maintain, and improve our Platform. This includes ensuring our services meet local legal and regulatory requirements, supporting product development, and managing our daily operations.
With government and law enforcement agencies. We share your data with these entities when required by law, to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, or in response to a legal request, such as a court order or subpoena.
In case of a merger, sale, or transfer of assets. If SheDrives is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we may share your data with the entity or entities involved before and after the transaction.

Depending on your location and applicable data protection laws, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
Access and Correction: You may request access to your personal data held by us, and request corrections if the data is inaccurate or incomplete.
